Believe in yourself. And start.

Siddhartha Katiyar — known on stage as DJ Sidd — turned a childhood spent on computers and remixes into a career behind the console. That's still the whole philosophy

The story so far

From computer games and remixes to a console of his own.

Born in Delhi NCR, India to Asim Katiyar, an engineer, and Shail Katiyar, a homemaker, Siddhartha grew up surrounded by computers, video games and music — schooled at DPS Azad Nagar before graduating. Music was never a side interest; it ran alongside everything else he was curious about.

He spent years producing remixes at home before watching a DJ perform live changed his direction entirely. He taught himself the craft from there — mixing technique, sound selection, reading a room — with no shortcuts and, for a long time, no one telling him he'd made the right call.

Not everyone believed a DJing career would work out. Convincing his own parents took years. He kept practising anyway, and what people once laughed at is now the work he does professionally, night after night.

"Do what you want to become, otherwise you may regret it for the rest of your life."
